Sukhavati Network Addresses the Key Issues of Existing Storage Solutions
Sukhavati Network is a decentralized cloud service network focused on storage. The team provides a secure and low-consumption consensus ledger based on the Proof-of-Capacity (PoC) mechanism. It also makes full use of the advantages of the hardware-based Trusted Execution.
There are a lot of major tech companies that provide many server and storage solution features. For example, Google Drive has reached more than 1 billion users worldwide. However, these solutions all have their own disadvantages — they are centralised. This heightens issues about privacy settings and data handling, which can be addressed through the integration of a decentralized platform.
To address the issue of decentralized storage verification, Filecoin created a solution based on zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) to constantly verify the promised storage. However, the verification process takes too much computing capability, making storage and application expensive. The cost also hinders a certain number of existing small storage devices from joining the decentralized storage networks. As a result, its storage distribution today remains centralized.
To fix and decrease the price and strike up the efficiency of the decentralised storage, Sukhavati Network fully integrates the advanced hardware trusted computing technology TEE while separating the consensus process from the storage verification process.
These two layers will be running two different algorithms, the Consensus layer and the Storage layer (for more information, refer to this article). Essentially, while the Consensus layer maintains high-security consensus, the latter allows participants to present their allocated storage capacity to the network.
For a smooth, secure, redundant, and uninterrupted run, Sukhavati Network is separated into several nodes each having its own function (see this). As a result, the storage verification can be 10–20 times faster than the ZKP-based method, which decreases the hardware requirements of the equipment involved in storage mining.
It could also accommodate hot storage requirements and provide decentralized solutions for real-world businesses such as CDNs.
Sukhavati Network will also improve its strengths to provide a unified data access gateway for Web3.0 decentralized applications to help DApps with data storage.
Sukhavati aims to continue providing Function as a Service (FaaS) computing services to the public, together with the goal of achieving a low-cost and highly reliable storage peer-to-peer network that will help many users worldwide.
