Sukhavati Network Mainnet Launch
We are excited to announce that the Sukhavati Mainnet Beta will launch on July 29, 12:00 pm UTC.
With the network running smoothly after 7 months of our testnet phase, Testnet 4 is primed for upgrade to Sukhavati Mainnet Beta. With this transition, we are incredibly excited to bring a solid consensus layer of the storage networks to the Web3 and crypto space, making Sukhavati one of the largest storage protocols right from launch.
By leveraging plots already farmed by the Chia Protocol, Sukhavati is hopeful that we can grow to be the largest and most decentralized storage service in Web3. The goals of DeFi, NFTs, the Metaverse, and Web3 will never be realized until the underlying infrastructure is also truly decentralized and trustless–Sukhavati will help to make that happen.
Many thanks to our loyal community for your participation and positive feedback during the test phase; together we have completed some important optimizations to keep the network running smoothly.
After the mainnet launch, there will be a few important updates to the network, including but not limited to:
- The $SKT Token of Sukhavati Testnet 4 will become Mainnet $SKT. The wallet and mnemonics will automatically become a real mainnet wallet.
- The Testnet 4 Campaign will end when the mainnet launches. Congratulations to users who joined and produced new blocks! The $SKT Tokens will become REAL native $SKT tokens as a bonus for your participation. Please keep your $SKT mnemonic phrase safely. The additional bonus for referrals of Testnet 4 Campaign will be distributed in 3 weeks to the addresses that meet the conditions.
- Sukhavati Bridge will launch 1 week later on August 5. The bridge will become available for cross-chain swaps among ERC-20 $SKT, BEP-20 $SKT, and native $SKT. This means you can trade the $SKT you got on exchanges such as Gate.io, Uniswap, etc.
- We will publish a tutorial for using the bridge later next week.
When Sukhavati Mainnet Beta goes live, we will release a new version of the client ( GUI client v2.4.0 and CLI client v1.0.0). The new version has added some important features. Though the old version still works, we recommend everyone to upgrade to the new version ASAP after it is released tomorrow.
After the next major upgrade, which is expected in the next 1–2 months, all GUI and CLI clients whose version is lower than v2.4.0 and v1.0.0 will be deprecated and eliminated from the Mainnet, farming and transactions will be influenced.
Another good news is that, after the Testnet 4 Campaign, those farmers involved in Testnet 4 farming will continue to automatically farm on Sukhavati Mainnet Beta and get $SKT rewards by producing new blocks.
Although the Sukhavati Mainnet is live, it is still at an early stage for the network and ecosystem. We look forward to your participation and feedback. We also have a Bug Bounty. Once your feedback and suggestions are accepted, the team will contact you, and you may be rewarded according to the bug level.
