Sukhavati Network Initial Stats

On July 29, 2022 — after nearly two years of planning and coding — the Sukhavati Mainnet went live.

For several months beforehand, we ran both internal and external testnets. We saw impressive statistics for network contributors on Testnet 3c. A few highlights:

· Number of Unique Block Producers: 771

· GUI Client Downloads: 10,000+

· Number of Nodes: 300+ online at peak

· Peak PiB: ~ 126 PiB

· Number of countries with at least one node: 49

· Number of wallets created: 10,000+

We are currently laying the groundwork to not only see similar numbers for our mainnet, but to hopefully surpass them in due time.

476 miners produced at least 10 blocks during Testnet 3c. The average number of blocks produced per unique address was 160. The median was 15.

The top countries represented were Indonesia and India, with representation of 1–4% from dozens of other countries. We can already see that this particular metric is changing with the mainnet, which we look forward to elaborating on next month.

We believe that these are impressive numbers for any blockchain protocol, let alone one whose mainnet just launched one week ago. We think it speaks to the strength of our community and the collective belief and practice in decentralization — together a community of 1000s of nodes can work together to trustlessly store and verify the data that will power the web3 world. With our mainnet, we will bring the economic opportunity of securing web3 infrastructure to every corner of the Earth; wherever you have an internet connection, you can produce blocks and provide storage service to web3 users.

Our north star in a sense is Chia itself, which can be co-mined with SKT. Chia has 200,000 nodes, making it the most decentralized blockchain on Earth. Even in reaching just 1% of that, Sukhavati would be one of the most widely decentralized protocols in the world. With co-mining, Sukhavati will get there.

About Sukhavati Network

Sukhavati Network is a decentralized cloud network service that is focused on storage. The network is built on hardware-based Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and the Substrate framework to inspire and incentivize improvements on distributed storage ecosystems.

Sukhavati creates a decentralized gateway that covers both Web 3.0 and Web 2.0 storage services. It allows unified data storage, retrieval, and management on Web 3.0 applications.
